Negative ions are the cornerstone of NION innovation. We pioneered the integration of unique elements in handheld skincare devices to harness their ability to purify and detoxify the skin. In nature, air molecules break apart from sunlight, moving air and water. These molecules either gain (+) or lose (-) an electrical charge, creating both negative and positive ions. These ions exist all around us and are completely harmless, invisible, odorless and tasteless. Positively charged ions, aka free radicals, create an electrical imbalance in the air and in our bodies.
These free radicals are atoms with unpaired electrons that are highly reactive; they “steal” electrons from healthy cells to neutralize their own charge, causing cellular damage. NIONs silicone is infused with negative ions from the gemstone tourmaline so it naturally attracts and binds to positively charged ions like dirt, toxins and pollutants.
